CSKA won 2:0 against Tsarsko Selo in a match of the 22nd round of the efbet League, played at Tsarsko Selo Stadium in the capital.

Martin Toshev and Angel Bastunov scored for The Reds in the final minutes of the game.

Before the first referee signal, CSKA midfielder Ivaylo Chochev officially received his award for "Best Midfielder in Bulgaria" for 2021. The "golden ball" was presented to Chochev by the chairman of the Association of Sports Journalists in Bulgaria - Naiden Todorov.

The match started with an advantage of CSKA. In the 2nd minute Galin Ivanov cross from a corner, and Simeon Petrov tried a header, but the ball went out for a goal kick. Ten minutes later, after another good pass from Ivanov, this time from a free kick, Aleksanndar Kolev hit the crossbar after a header from close range.

In the 18th minute came one of the clearest chances for The Reds in the match. Simeon Petrov found with an excellent long pass the striker Kolev, who, however, remaining face to face with the goalkeeper Guerrieri, decided to shoot powerfully but not accurate enough.

In the 30th minute Georgi Rusev dribbled past the home defence and passed a parallel pass to Galin Ivanov, who, however, from a small angle failed to find the empty net and the goalkeeper caught. Five minutes later Kolev tried a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but he passed about a meter from the left side post of the goalkeeper.

By the end of the half, Rusev had two good situations to score, but the winger of The Reds did not make the right decision to shoot and preferred passes - to no avail. Ivaylo Chochev, on the other hand, tried a long shot, saved by Guerrieri.

After the break and the resumption of the game, there were no clear goal positions until the 60th minute. Then Masela from the hosts tested the reflex of CSKA captain Daniel Naumov, and the goalkeeper did an excellent job, stopping the dangerous shot. Martin Toshev came off the bench, replacing Vasil Shopov, and this move by Nikolay Kirov clearly showed that The Reds came for the victory today.

Toshev immediately tried a shot from the edge of the penalty area in goal kick. A new chance was opened for Kolev, but without success. In the 72nd minute, CSKA's efforts were finally crowned. Rusev broke greatly on the left flank, coped with a defender, and crossed with his right foot into the penalty area, where Toshev headed and scored for 1:0. First goal for Martin Toshev after the transfer to CSKA! And how important!

In the 84th minute Nikolaev from the hosts sent a shot over the bar, and a little later Simeon Petrov received a second yellow and red card for a four around the center of the field. The final 2:0 was formed by Angel Bastunov, who also came in as a substitution. He scored in the 90th minute with a measured shot from 12-13 meters.

In the next 23rd round CSKA hosts Botev (Plovdiv) on Friday (11.03) at 17:30 at Vitosha Stadium.
