Dobrin Gionov was born on 18.02.1986 in Sofia.
He finished the Italian Lyceum and then, he continued his education at the University of Padova in major International Economics and later on, he was awarded Master’s degree in major Economics and Finance. Dobrin Gionov is a former fencing contestant and since 2015, he has been a part of the management of CSKA Fencing Club.
He was born on 18 April 1982 in Plovdiv, but he was a young contestant of Vihar (Gorublyane). In 2000, he transferred to CSKA but did not play a single match for the army team. Then he joined the team of Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) where he won one of his two champion titles of Bulgaria.
The second one is with CSKA during his participation in the club. Kotev had 83 matches with the outfit of “the red team” in A group and he also had 13 matches for the national team of Bulgaria in the period 2004-2009.
His third period in the army club was in season 2017/18 and he sustained all the burden in the core of defence playing 29 matches in the Third League. After the end of the season, he put an end to his career and started work for CSKA as Sport Director.
